I think a puzzle quest for a good piece of equipment would be good, similar to the one for Jyll's Chainmail, or Excalibur, but a little more complex and geared more towards high-level players. Ideally, it should take more than a few minutes to complete. Also, some MUD's I have played in the past have areas only accessible by climbing to them up less obvious things, such as an ice wall put into an arctic area or such. This allows the higher-level players things to hunt for and do while waiting for their legend days to pass by. Just a suggestion, keep up the outstanding work.
